Why a client didn't get a reminder

The usual reasons a booking had no reminder, and how to tell from your diary and Activity.

Look at the booking's label in the day view (What the labels on bookings mean), and at Activity. The usual reasons:

  • It was booked less than 18 hours ahead. Reminder texts need 18 hours. A client who gave an email gets an email instead.
  • It was booked after that evening's reminders went.
  • The client gave no email, and the shop is on Basic, or reminder texts are off.
  • You added it yourself. On Basic, that means no reminder; on Pro, only a text, if you entered their mobile and it was 18 hours or more ahead. (Messages for bookings you add yourself)
  • The day's limits were reached. A mobile gets at most three texts a day, and an email address three emails, from every business together, and each shop has a daily email limit. Activity says "the day's email limit was reached".
  • It didn't send. Activity says it "didn't send". When a text fails, a client who gave an email gets an email instead.
  • It says "Reminder unconfirmed". It may well have arrived. It isn't sent again, so nobody gets two.
  • Your subscription has ended, so texts have stopped. (Restart after cancelling)
