Turn two-step sign-in on or off

Add a code from an authenticator app to signing in, so a stolen password isn't enough to see your clients.

With two-step sign-in on, signing in also asks for a 6-digit code from an app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password. Someone who learns your password or gets into your email still can't see your clients' details.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Account (on a phone, More › Account).
  2. Press Turn on two-step sign-in.
  3. In your authenticator app, add an account by scanning the QR code. Can't scan it? Type in the key shown under it instead.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows, then press Turn on.

From then on, after your password or email code, you'll be asked for the code from your app.

Turn it off

  1. Go to Account.
  2. Press Turn off two-step sign-in, then Yes, turn it off.

If it won't turn off, sign out, sign in again with the code from your app, then try again.

Good to know: Keep the app on a phone you'll still have. If you lose it: Lost the phone with your authenticator app.
